Erbin Keith is deputy general counsel for Sempra, where he is responsible for regulatory, transactional, and special initiatives for the company.
Since joining Sempra in 1998, Keith has held a variety of leadership positions. Most recently, from 2017 to 2019, he served as chief regulatory officer and special counsel for Sempra. He has also served as chief risk officer and general counsel for San Diego Gas & Electric and general counsel and senior vice president of external affairs for Southern California Gas Co.
Keith serves on the board of directors of Voices for Children of San Diego County. He is a member of the State Bar of California and the State Bar of Texas, and is a licensed professional engineer. In 2001, Keith was selected as “Energy Professional of the Year” by the Association of Energy Engineers. In 2000, he was appointed to the United States Department of Energy's first Federal Energy Management Advisory Committee.
Keith holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and a law degree from South Texas College of Law Houston.
