My Retirement Connection

My Retirement Connection is the new retirement benefit plan administrator and service provider for the Sempra family of companies beginning Feb. 1, 2018. All retirement administration and services provided by the My Retirement Service Center are transitioning to My Retirement Connection.

Transition FAQs

 

What is the phone number and when will it be available?

Call Center representatives will be available beginning at 7 a.m. Pacific Time on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018, at the following toll-free number: 855-376-7237.

What are the hours for the Call Center?

Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific Time.

What is the website address and when will it be available?

myretirementconnection.ehr.com   will be available on and after Feb. 12, 2018.

What information do I need to log in to the website?

At first login, you will be required to go through the first-time user account registration screen to set up your user name and password. You will need your Social Security number, home ZIP code, and date of birth.

What services will transition to My Retirement Connection?

All services currently performed by the My Retirement Service Center are transferring to My Retirement Connection. Electing your official retirement date, when you are ready to retire, and choosing retiree benefits will also transition to My Retirement Connection.

Will the single sign on link from the company intranet sites still work?

Yes.

When will I be able to complete a benefit estimate on the My Retirement Connection website?

On and after Feb. 12, 2018.

If I am retiring and already submitted my Notice of Retirement date via My Info, will I need to do it again with My Retirement Connection?

No. My Retirement Connection will receive your prospective retirement date. In addition, any pension/cash balance commencement requests that are in process will be transferred to My Retirement Connection.

How do I elect my retiree benefits?

You can elect your retiree benefits electronically via the My Retirement Connection website.

How do I request my pension/cash balance commencement paperwork for my upcoming retirement if I did not already request it from the My Retirement Service Center?

You can elect your commencement package electronically via the My Retirement Connection  website or you can call My Retirement Connection at 855-376-7237.

Will this change affect my retirement savings/401(k) plan?

No. Your retirement savings/401(k) plan is not affected by this change. T. Rowe Price remains the recordkeeper for your retirement savings/401(k) plan.

Retiree FAQs

 

Will anything change with regard to my monthly pension payments because of the transition to My Retirement Connection?

No. Your established monthly pension payments will continue to be paid, as scheduled, from Bank of New York Mellon. After Feb. 12, 2018, all changes you may need to make (such as a change of address, change in direct deposit, or change to your tax withholdings) can be completed online electronically via the My Retirement Connection website.

Will my retiree medical or dental benefits change as a result of the transition to My Retirement Connection?

No.

Will anything change regarding my retiree medical and dental premium payments?

Yes.

  • If you are direct-billed, the invoices will be mailed on the 25th of the previous month, which is later than they have been mailed in the past.
  • If you have a Healthcare Reimbursement Account (HRA), there will not be an option to pay your retiree medical and dental premiums with the HRA debit card. You can be reimbursed through WageWorks for all benefit premiums that you pay each month.
  • If you currently pay for your retiree benefits using a credit card, you will need to select an alternate payment method.  Credit cards will not be accepted for monthly premium payments.
  • If you currently pay for your retiree benefits using your bank’s online bill payment services, you will need to update to the new payment information that will be included with your invoice.
  • If you currently have auto pay to pay for your retiree benefits, you will need to enroll in auto pay through the My Retirement Connection  website on or after Feb. 12, 2018.

 What if I have a change and need to update my medical and/or dental plan?

You can make updates to your medical and dental plans online electronically via the My Retirement Connection  website or you can call My Retirement Connection at 855-376-7237.

Former employees entitled to a pension/cash balance benefit FAQs

 

When will I be able to complete a benefit estimate on the My Retirement Connection website?

If I am commencing my Pension/Cash Balance benefit and I already submitted my paperwork, will I need to do it again with My Retirement Connection?

No. My Retirement Connection will receive your paperwork and process it accordingly. In addition, any pension/cash balance commencement requests that are in process will be transferred to My Retirement Connection.

How do I request my pension/cash balance commencement paperwork if I did not already request it from the My Retirement Service Center?

You can elect to receive your commencement package electronically via the My Retirement Connection website or you can call My Retirement Connection at 855-376-7237.
