Cameron LNG celebrated the opening of its liquefaction facility in Hackberry, La., with a dedication ceremony that brought together more than 300 community members, employees, partners and international dignitaries, along with several state and local elected officials, including Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards. Cameron LNG is one of five strategically located LNG projects being developed by Sempra LNG in North America.
Sempra LNG announced that Cameron LNG’s first train of the liquefaction-export project in Hackberry, LA, has begun commercial operations under Cameron LNG’s tolling agreements.

Sempra Energy today celebrated the completion of construction of Train 1 of the Cameron LNG export project in Hackberry, La., with a group of international, federal, state and local officials, including the U.S. president and members of the U.S. administration.
Sempra Energy today announced that Cameron LNG has initiated the commissioning process for the support facilities and first liquefaction train of Phase 1 of its Hackberry, LA, liquefaction-export project.
Sempra LNG & Midstream recently completed the $143 million Cameron Interstate Pipeline expansion, including the construction of the Holbrook Compressor Station and associated facilities in southwest Louisiana. This expansion adds bi-directional flow to the existing Cameron Interstate Pipeline so that natural gas can be transported from various interstate pipeline connections to the Cameron LNG liquefaction facility currently under construction in Hackberry, Louisiana.
