‘5 Days of Giving’ Drives $350,000 in Donations by Sempra Energy Foundation

The Sempra Energy Foundation has donated $350,000 to nonprofit organizations throughout California and Texas in a 5 Days of Giving holiday campaign.

These donations reflect support of charitable causes championed by Sempra Energy employees. As part of the company’s commitment to investing in the communities it serves, the Sempra Energy Foundation and Sempra Energy employees have donated more than $100 million over the past five years and logged more than 80,000 volunteer hours in 2018 alone. The Sempra Energy Foundation, a private 501(c)(3) foundation established by Sempra Energy in 2007, combed through employee giving data to identify the causes, issues and organizations most supported by the employees.

The 5 Days of Giving campaign highlighted seven different charities each day Dec. 9 through 13. Each charity received a $10,000 gift from the Sempra Energy Foundation with the campaign totaling $350,000 by the week’s end.
