What is a WMDVBE?
A woman-, minority-, or service-disabled,
veteran-owned business enterprise is at least 51-percent owned by a woman
or women, a minority person or group, or a service-disabled veteran or
group of veterans who are United States citizens or permanent residents,
and who also control and run the business.
In cases of any publicly owned
business, one or more women, one or more minority, or service-disabled
veteran(s) who are United States citizens or permanent residents, and
who also control and run the business, must own at least 51 percent of
the stock.
What is a minority?
Male or female Hispanic-Americans,
African-Americans, Asian-Pacific Americans, Native Americans or any other
members whom the Small Business Administration or Secretary of Commerce
designates as disadvantaged.
