RSS terms of use
RSS service is a means by which Sempra Energy
and certain of its affiliates offer feeds of
press releases in XML format (“RSS Content”)
to visitors to Sempra Energy’s Web site,
www.Sempra.com, and Web sites of certain subsidiaries
of Sempra Energy (the “Sites”) who
use RSS aggregators. These Terms of Use govern
use of RSS service. The use of the RSS service
also is subject to all other terms and conditions
of the Sites. These Terms of Use may be changed
by Sempra Energy at any time without notice.
Use of RSS feeds:
RSS is a free service offered by Sempra Energy
and certain of its affiliates to parties opting
to receive such service through the Sites for
private, noncommercial use. Any other uses,
including without limitation, (a) your incorporation
of RSS Content into marketing, promotion or
advertising, or (b) your use of marketing, promotion
or advertising associated with or referencing
the RSS Content, are strictly prohibited. You
must use the RSS Content and RSS feeds as provided
by the Sites. The RSS service may be used only
with those platforms from which a functional
link is made available that, when accessed,
takes the viewer directly to the display of
the full article on the Sites. You may not display
RSS Content in a manner that does not permit
successful linking to, redirection to or delivery
of the Sites. You may not insert or utilize
any intermediate page, “splash”
page or other content between the link contained
in the RSS Content and the Sites.
Ownership/attribution:
Sempra Energy or the applicable affiliate thereof
retains all ownership and other rights in the
RSS Content, and any and all logos and trademarks
used or displayed in connection with the RSS
service. You must provide attribution to the
applicable owner of a Site in connection with
your use of feeds.
Right to discontinue
feeds/no liability:
Sempra Energy reserves the right to discontinue
providing any or all of the RSS feeds at any
time and to require you to cease displaying,
distributing or otherwise using any or all of
the RSS feeds for any reason including, without
limitation, violation of any provision of these
Terms of Use. Sempra Energy and its affiliates
assume no liability for any of your activities
in connection with, receipt and transmittal
of, or utilization of, the RSS feeds (including,
without limitation, the RSS Content) on your
Web site, via the Internet or otherwise.
