SEMPRA UTILITIES

San Diego Gas & Electric is a regulated public utility that has been supplying safe and reliable natural gas and electric service to the San Diego region since 1881. SDG&E currently serves 3.4 million consumers through 1.4 million electric meters and 830,000 natural gas meters. The utility’s service area spans 4,100 square miles from Orange County to the Mexican border. In 2006, SDG&E was named western region winner of the ReliabilityOne™ award, for service reliability in the utility industry.

Southern California Gas Co. has been delivering clean, safe and reliable natural gas to its customers for nearly 140 years. SoCalGas is the nation’s largest natural gas distribution utility, serving a population of 20.1 million consumers through 5.6 million natural gas meters. The company’s service territory encompasses approximately 20,000 square miles in central and Southern California. For the third consecutive year, in 2006 SoCalGas was ranked “Highest in Customer Satisfaction With Residential Natural Gas Service in the Western United States and the Nation” by J.D. Power and Associates.*

Sempra Commodities is a marketing and trading company that combines financial risk management with physical expertise to provide innovative solutions for customers in natural gas, power, petroleum and base metals, as well as natural gas liquids, coal, emission credits and ethanol. Since it was acquired in 1997, Sempra Commodities has achieved 32 consecutive quarters of profitability and contributed more than $1.9 billion to Sempra Energy’s net income.

Sempra Generation owns and operates power plants that serve key wholesale electricity markets in North America. Its fleet of generation assets is among the cleanest and most advanced in the western United States, using clean-burning natural gas to produce more than 2,600 MW of electricity that is sold to utilities, power marketers and large energy users. Approximately 75 percent of this generating capacity is under long-term contract through 2011, providing long-term returns and stable earnings.

Sempra LNG develops, builds and operates LNG receipt terminals in North America. Energía Costa Azul is a facility under construction just north of Ensenada, Mexico, that will process 1 billion cubic feet per day (Bcfd) of natural gas when it begins commercial operations in early 2008. Cameron LNG is a facility under construction in southwest Louisiana that will be capable of processing 1.5 Bcfd of natural gas when it is completed in late 2008. Port Arthur LNG is a project planned for the Port Arthur Ship Canal in Texas that will deliver between 1.5 Bcfd and 3 Bcfd of natural gas.

Sempra Pipelines & Storage acquires, builds and operates natural gas pipelines and storage facilities in Latin America and the United States. The company and its affiliates operate and/or own 500 miles of high-pressure natural gas pipelines in northern Mexico and the United States, and are in the process of constructing additional pipelines. The company is a partner in the Rockies Express Pipeline, which will stretch more than 1,600 miles from Colorado to Ohio when it comes online in phases from 2007 through 2009. In 2007, Sempra Pipelines & Storage and its partner ProLiance Energy put into service Liberty Gas Storage, a salt-cavern natural gas storage project that provides 17 billion cubic feet of high-deliverability storage services to shippers on five interstate pipelines. Sempra Pipelines & Storage also manages natural gas and electricity distribution systems in Mexico and South America.
