Sempra Pipelines & Storage is working to move natural gas from where
it’s available to where it’s needed. To do that, the company develops,
builds and operates natural gas pipelines and natural
gas storage facilities.
The company and its affiliates operate and/or own more than 1,400 miles of
pipelines in northern Mexico and the United States,
and are in the process of constructing additional pipelines. This includes
a partnership on the Rockies Express Pipeline, which will stretch more than
1,600 miles from Colorado to Ohio when it is complete.
The company owns, operates and is developing strategically located underground natural gas storage facilities throughout the gulf coast. That company’s salt dome storage facilities currently in operation and under construction include Bay Gas Storage in southern Alabama and Mississippi Hub in south central Mississippi.
Additionally, Sempra Pipelines and Storage owns and operates electric and gas distribution companies in Mexico and South America, as well as Mobile Gas, a local distribution company in southern Alabama.
