Sharp HealthCare’s Women’s Health Symposium
As part of our commitment to fund programs that lead to healthy lifestyles, Sempra Energy proudly supports the Sharp HealthCare Women's Health Symposium. Each year, this day-long event offers nearly 2,000 women access to health screenings and assessments, local and national exhibitors, and a range of seminars that focus on physical and emotional well-being.

Hurricane relief
Cameron Parish in Louisiana survived a mighty blow from Hurricane Rita. As one of its newest neighbors, Sempra Energy’s Cameron LNG has remained committed to bringing energy to help this community rebuild. Some of the efforts supported by our team include:

  • providing needed supplies to local police and community centers,
  • renting temporary sites for the local health clinic to continue its operations,
  • providing equipment to remove debris throughout the region,
  • restoring the local school’s gym and physical-education program, and
  • rebuilding and reopening the local community recreation center.

Día del Niño
Working with local schools and groups, Sempra Energy’s companies in Mexico helped make the Day of the Child (Día del Niño) a treat for more than 3,000 kids at schools, shelters and community centers in areas where families are in need. In Ensenada and Mexicali, kids received new toys and a magician treated them to a magic act; in Chihuahua, four schools received new sports equipment and three orphanages received toys for each child; and in Torreón, the company sponsored a new outdoor play area at one of the schools.
