Sempra Energy is proud of the commitment to the community our employees show every day on and off the job. We team with our employees to urge them to give back through three programs:

Energy for Others
Energy for Others is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization run by and for the employees of Sempra Energy. Through the Energy for Others giving program, employees can make direct contributions to any nonprofit group through payroll withholdings.

Any nondesignated funds employees provide are given to agencies by a locally elected board of advisers, all of whom take part in the program. You can view giving guidelines on the Energy for Others Web site.

Matching Gifts
To foster giving by employees, The Sempra Energy Foundation funds a Matching Gifts program for gifts made to educational institutions, as well as to groups focused on arts and culture. The Foundation matches employees' gifts dollar for dollar pending verification of the gift. Requests for matching gifts must start with Sempra Energy employees.

Volunteer Incentive Program
The Sempra Energy Foundation also supports our employees' contribution of time and talent to nonprofit groups through our Volunteer Incentive Program (VIP). Employees who make a commitment to a group through volunteer service may request a $100 contribution from The Sempra Energy Foundation to that group on their behalf. The Foundation funds up to two groups each year for every eligible employee. Requests for VIP grants must begin with Sempra Energy employees.
