Nonprofit Management Solutions’ Salute to Excellence
Sempra Energy gladly works as partners with Nonprofit Management Solutions (NMS) in support of its Executive Director Leadership Series, as well as its yearly “Salute to Excellence” Awards, which honor professionals from the nonprofit sector. NMS is the major provider of management and technology consulting, and training and information resources to nonprofit groups in San Diego County.

Women’s Business Development Center
Sempra Commodities supports the Women's Business Development Center (WBDC), a micro-enterprise development group whose goal is to increase economic independence for women. This is achieved through small-business and professional-development training, career assistance, networking and access to applicable resources. The center connects with and teaches women who want to become economically self-sufficient.

Community advisory committees
Along with making contributions through grants and sponsorships, the Sempra utilities and many of Sempra Energy’s global companies have set up community- advisory committees to help make the most of the benefits to the local region. These diverse groups, made up of residents from subsidiary companies' nearby neighborhoods, provide valuable input on community involvement, charitable contributions and corporate social responsibility.
