Fire Assistance Fund
In November of 2007, in response to the 2007 Southern California Wildfires, the Sempra Energy Foundation allocated $5 million to assistance efforts for families and individuals that were directly impacted by those wildfires, as well as organizations that directly helped recovery efforts in affected areas.
We are proud to report that efforts are well underway to accomplish this goal. Over 1,500 applications have been received from families in the affected areas and almost half have already received fire assistance grants.
If you have applied for a grant from the 2007 Fire Assistance Fund and have not yet received an answer, you will be hearing from the Foundation staff in the next few weeks. We anticipate processing every applicant’s grant by the end June.
Please note that we are no longer accepting grant applications for this fund.
