Congratulations to the San Diego Audubon Society (SDAS), winner of the “San Diego’s Choice” contest. For the win, SDAS earns an additional $50,000 bonus grant.

The contest, a partnership with I Love a Clean San Diego and KFMB-TV, allowed people to vote for their favorite environmental program from the winners of the Environmental Champions Awards.

Below are the winners of the inaugural Environmental Champions Awards. There is a total of $1 million in grants going to the 30 Southern California non-profit groups who are focused on natural resource protection and conservation, environmental education, and environmental health and safety.
