Lisa Urick is vice president of audit services for Sempra Energy, a San Diego-based Fortune 500 energy services holding company whose subsidiaries provide electricity, natural gas and value-added products and services. The Sempra Energy companies’ 13,800 employees serve more than 29 million consumers worldwide.
In her current position, which she has held since January 2010, Urick oversees Sempra Energy’s internal audit function.
From 2005 to 2009, Urick served as the assistant general counsel of state regulatory law for Sempra Energy. She joined the company in 1991 as a state regulatory attorney and, from 1999 to 2001, was a managing attorney for the California Power Exchange before returning to Sempra Energy in 2002.
Urick has served on the board of the Conference of California Public Utility Counsel. She received her law degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, and her bachelor’s degree in French literature and East Asian studies from Wellesley College in Wellesley, Mass.
